Participatory Mapping for Conservancies Excites Communities

Central Kajiado, September 2023.

A mapping exercise for the first 10 conservancies in Central Kajiado was carried in September 2023. The exercise aims to make sure that all conservancy boundaries are properly delineated and put on the national conservancies map by KWCA.

The process is a participatory process the conservancy members agree on the boundaries on the physical map then GPS coordinates are collected by motorbike riders and a map is made by combining the two.
